"Bulgaria's Vampire of Vratsa"
The Sofia Globe, 27-07-2014

The Case:

Archaeologists found the grave of a man with a (for those days unusual) length of 1.80 meter. He had been buried with a large white stone placed on the side of his heart. According to archaeologist Alexandra Petrova, this was an anti-vampire measure. Just like the fact that his feet had been tied together.

The Date:

We have not been given a date, but somewhere there is mention of medieval.

The Place:

Vratsa is a small mountain town that can be found in the North-West of Bulgaria, somewhat to the North of the capital Sofia.

Possible Follow-Up:

This case did not get quite the coverage that the other Bulgarian "vampire" cases were given. Still, there is plenty to be found.
