Here's my miserable translation for you :
"The Scholze Martin Weimar, from Schwarzwalde near Landshut, did have the reputation of being something of a Sorcerer and a Witch-Master. He had died in 1671, and also after his death he was pestering the people so badly that they dug him up again and tied his hands behind his back. Without success. When they dug him up again, they chopped off his head and burnt it. And the grave, as that of an unchristian person, was bricked up."
Martin Weimar's death is reported to have taken place in 1671.
So far I could not find Schwarzwalde. Which is why I have put the case under Strehlen. And Strehlen has been renamed to Strezlin and can be found South of Wroclaw, close to the Czech border. Landeshut (or Landshut), by the way, is now called Kamienna Gora and can be found SouthWesst of Wroclaw, likewise, close to the Czech border.
So what is a "Scholze" ? I have had a quick look but can not find it. My guess is that it is either a title or a profession. Check it out, if you want to know. Go find Görlich's "Geschichte der Stadt Strehlen in Preußisch-Schlesien". There's more interesting material in there. And in case you happen to find Schwarzwalde, be sure to let us know.
