"Bulgaria’s latest vampire skeleton found in Plovdiv"
The Sofia Globe, 26-08-2014

The Case:

Archaeological research was going on in an old necropolis in the old part of Plovdiv, when a skeleton was discovered with a piece of brick in its mouth and a rooftile over its head. According to archaeologist Elena Bozhinova, this was a measure to prevent the dead from rising again, that dates back to the plague and the 15th and 16th Century.

The Date:

It is suggested that the burial dates back to the 15th or 16th Century.

The Place:

Plovdiv is one of the larger towns of Bulgaria and can be found somewhere in the middle. Somewhere between Lovech and Smolyan.

Possible Follow-Up:

No lack of media coverage so it won't be hard to find reports, photos, probably videos as well.
