Pawel Ukrainski: "Pochowek wampiryczny w Kamieniu Pomorskim - archeolog wyjasnia."

The Case:

In the Polish town of Kamien Pomorski a 400-year-old skeleton was unearthed with a stone put in its mouth and one of its legs pierced. According to archaeologist Slawomir Gorka it proves that people must have thought the deceased person was a vampire.

The Date:

The skeleton is reported to be more than 400 years old. So we may assume that the burial must have taken place some time in the early 17th Century or perhaps earlier than that.

The Place:

Cammin in Pommern, or Kammin, used to be a German town. It can be found in the North-West of Poland, on the coast, not too far from the German border. It is now called Kamien Pomorski.

Possible Follow-Up:

This news item was widely covered by the media. So apart from the internet there's newspaper articles, lots of photos and even some videos. Go find them and check them out.
